Hold onto these frail strands
Weakened fingers begin to slip
No one's on the other end to
Pull you up from this final trip
Some say falling is freedom
But not us, we see the lie
There is only darkness tumbling
End over end, the only sound a cry

Hunted
Separate from the rest
Staring off into space
Unaware of the hunter
Prowling in the grass
Until the claws rake
Across my back
I choose flight
In that moment
Hooves pound across
The plain, too late
Their pride pulls
Me down
Staring off into space
Unaware of the hunter
Prowling in the grass
Until the claws rake
Across my back
I choose flight
In that moment
Hooves pound across
The plain, too late
Their pride pulls
Me down

Honeysuckle
I rise
Creeping
Slowly
Up to
Touch
The sun
Humble
Now in my
Appearance
But soon
My flowers
Will bloom
Filling
The air
With their
Intoxicating
Fragrance
Creeping
Slowly
Up to
Touch
The sun
Humble
Now in my
Appearance
But soon
My flowers
Will bloom
Filling
The air
With their
Intoxicating
Fragrance

Panic Attack
The pressure keeps building
Wish I could breathe again
Clinging to hope, that things
Will somehow be better
Some future date will bring
Everything I've dreamed
Wish I could breathe again
Clinging to hope, that things
Will somehow be better
Some future date will bring
Everything I've dreamed

Before You Speak
With each word
You shatter my
Heart a little more
If only you could
Stop, let silence
Guide your thoughts
I know you regret
These spiteful words
You shatter my
Heart a little more
If only you could
Stop, let silence
Guide your thoughts
I know you regret
These spiteful words

April Showers
Soggy ground squishes beneath my soles
Silent earthworms wriggle out of the earth
To great this springtime deluge
Winter's snow has run away to the rivers
So close to overflowing, so begins the spring
Silent earthworms wriggle out of the earth
To great this springtime deluge
Winter's snow has run away to the rivers
So close to overflowing, so begins the spring
